Red Bull Thailand reached out via Grizzle Animation Studio with a lovely technical brief: Dance Your Style was landing in Thailand in just a few weeks, and the event space had 10+ screens across flats, curves and LED pillars.

The challenge was to create one design system that could flow seamlessly across all of them, adding even more visual energy to the event without ever stealing from the dancers.

Naturally, this became a proper LED-map puzzle. Huge screen layouts, physical gaps, curved surfaces, pillars, 3D animated ribbons and texture lines all somehow needing to feel like one continuous piece. After plenty of trial and error, and a lot of remote back-and-forth through test renders and iPhone preview videos from the team on site, we got there in the end.

Huge shoutout to Freddie L for being my saviour with the maths and coordinates on this one 🙏 All done remotely too, which made the final result even sweeter. Next year... I’d love to be there in person
